Geese are a Dabbling One, Two, Three..

Natures Garden is what  I have been exploring recently, as I went for a day out at a local beauty spot only a 20 minute drive away to Hardwick Hall. Below are the wonderful grounds which surround the Hall.. Which visitors can access for free.. Its only the Hall and Hall gardens which need tickets.

We walked along to the Lakes as the water lilies were just coming out. The geese were nurturing their young, and were obviously used to seeing visitors.. But we kept our distance to allow them to feel safe.

The pictures I took are below.  Of One Sunday walk at Hardwick Hall

Sunday mornings we like to walk.. And so the following week it was another fine day.. This time we went to along a favourite walk.. This area was once an Ugly Slag Heap from a Coal Mine.. but when the mine closed the land was turned into a Nature reserve.. A small lake was created for fishing, and wild life..

Here Geese and Ducks live and at times there have been swan families.

We set off along our 2 hour walk,

And I loved snapping photo’s of the flowers

    • Hi Ian.. I am so pleased you enjoyed the walk around these small lakes .. We are so very lucky to live near such beauty spots.. And thank you for following Ian.. ( I still haven’t figured out how to make a separate avatar.. as when I change pictures then the whole picture to Dreamwalkers Sanctuary changes too.. I will keep at it though 🙂

      • Shouldn’t be too much to change avatar Sue, I just do it in home site and set up area, lets you change as many times as you like, unless maybe you have the same email address for both, but can’t see that being a problem, keep trying Sherlock, cheers.

          • I get all comments to one email Sue, just means you log out on one and log in on the other, not much help I know Sue, I just devised my own system, probably a way to do it but I don’t want to upset the apple cart, cheers.

            • Well Ian I am now lost.. and give up so will continue moderating as Sue Dreamwalker.. As I logged out after altering my gavitar pic and email and WP wouldn’t recognise me.. Just too complicated for my poor overheated brain to cope with today LOL.. 🙂

            • Hi Sue, know how you feel, still have problems sorting some of my stuff out, one being I only realized recently that people were answering my comments in this area, wondered why no bastard was answering me, don’t know why I don’t get notifications in email like before, if I allow all comments in reader I get everyone’s comments on everything. Think I will just plod along, cheers.
